Terms of use
This is a pilot-stage draft. It hasn't been legally reviewed yet and may still change before a wider release.
Updated: 3 November 2026
1. What Plaan is
Plaan is a private app for arranging get-togethers and events with real people. It isn't public social media: plans are only visible to the people you intend them for.
2. Account and login
You log in with your phone number and a text message code. There's no password. You must give accurate information about yourself (first name, optional username) and must not use someone else's name or create an account on someone else's behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Plaan.
3. Responsibility for your own content
You're responsible for the plans, messages and other content you share. Content must not be illegal, harassing, offensive to others, or infringe anyone's rights. A plan can be reported with the Report button.
If you add a guest who does not use Plaan to a plan, you are responsible for having the right to store their name and notes for this purpose. Do not store sensitive information about the guest (e.g. health data) or a personal identity number. Share the invite link only with people you want to invite; anyone who gets the link can answer with it.
4. Prohibited use
The service must not be used for spam, mass invitations, harassing others, or technically overloading the service. To prevent abuse, certain actions (e.g. messages, invitations, searches) have a technical hourly limit.
5. Restricting and deleting an account
We may restrict or delete an account that breaches these terms, especially in cases of abuse or endangering another user's safety.
You can permanently delete your own account under Settings → Account management. Deletion never removes the structure of others' plans or chats, but you'll appear in them as "Deleted user".
6. Pilot stage
Plaan is currently in a pilot stage. The service, its features and availability may change, or the service may be discontinued, without prior notice. The service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
7. Limitation of liability
We are not responsible for content posted by users or for whether plans actually happen. Our liability is limited to what is allowed under mandatory law.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Finnish law.
10. Contact details
The service is provided by Janne Paananen (Lappeenranta, Finland). Contact: email getplaan@proton.me.
